This is cancer of the blood cells. Risk factors include:

  • Family history of leukemia
  • Radiation exposure
  • Chronic viral infections
  • Exposure to substances that radically alter or change the flow of blood or its chemical consistency, including drugs or chemicals that alter the blood chemistry; it is the use of such substances that determine its reaction by the blood cells themselves, and addictive or chronic use would make for a higher risk factor

The symptoms of this kind of cancer include paleness, fatigue, weight loss, repeated infections, easy bruising, or bruising that refuses to heal, bone and joint pain, and frequent nosebleeds.
